Leave a lasting legacy at Barren Heights!
The Lodge is built and has already served over 290 guests and volunteers this summer. More than 70 families have had the opportunity to seek refuge from the heat and rain, play in both the Eckstein Calming Room and Jack’s Playroom, and volunteer families have enjoyed much more convenient lodging in our brand new sleeping quarters. The Lodge has already been such a valued asset this season, and we know it will continue to impact families for years to come. We are so grateful to all the donors and supporting organizations who helped us get to this point in our building journey. But we’re not quite finished funding the Lodge just yet!
Back in March, we launched a brick fundraiser to help fund this building project. A wonderful volunteer from our community, Heidi Pym, has offered to take on building a feature to highlight the Launch the Lodge bricks that have been/will be purchased and to provide a peaceful space of rest for our families for years to come. This space will also feature a wooden cross, much like the one that used to reside on the grounds near the sports courts. It is our goal to have 40 bricks for this feature. So far, 26 have been purchased, so we are only 14 shy of our goal!
