Creating a place where every guest feels Loved, Accepted, Welcomed, and Safe.
The Friends of Barren Heights is a dedicated group of churches, businesses, individuals, and community groups who help care for the sacred spaces of our Retreat Center. From trimming back bushes, to weeding around the cross, the courtyard area, and in front of the chapel, these friends help us maintain the beauty and peace of Barren Heights.
Their service may seem simple—but the impact is profound. When our guests arrive, they feel the warmth, care, and intentionality that has been poured into every inch of the property. The clean paths, tended grounds, and thoughtful touches speak volumes before a single word is ever said.
By helping us steward the grounds, our Friends play a vital role in living out the LAWS of Barren Heights—making every guest feel Loved, Accepted, Welcomed, and Safe.
Whether you can come once a year, once a season, or once a month—there’s a place for you in this beautiful act of hospitality.
Want to become a Friend of Barren Heights? We’d love to welcome you. Please complete the form below or reach out to Executive Director, Abbi Rose, with any questions at abbi.rose@barrenheights.org.
Please Note: Although we have flexibility in our schedule to allow groups to serve, Barren Heights is a private Retreat Center and has regular programming throughout the year. All service days must be scheduled in advance with our Executive Director, Abbi Rose, to ensure our facility is available and not being used for programming.
