Men’s Retreat

Deposit Required: $50 for fathers of children with disabilities (refundable), $75 for men without special needs children (non-refundable)

Join one of our founders, Joe Rose, and our Men’s Ministry guides on this overnight stay at Barren Heights as we provide biblical encouragement, refreshment, relaxation, and recreation.

Provided meals: snacks throughout the weekend, lunch & supper on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday

We require a deposit to reserve your spot for this retreat ($50 refundable for fathers of children with disabilities, $75 non-refundable for men without special needs children). Once your application has been approved, you will receive a confirmation email containing the link to our payment portal. We will wrap up around 11:30 a.m. Sunday. NOTE: The required deposit is 100% refundable to parents who have children with physical or developmental disabilities. Additionally, the Barren Heights Retreat Center is in Central Time, so all times listed are in CT.

Spots for this retreat are limited, and there will be a waitlist. Spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis with preference given to men who did not attend our 2025 Men’s Retreat (we will be using the same curriculum in 2026). Please watch the email you provide at registration for confirmation on whether you have a spot at the retreat or have been placed on the waitlist. Most rooms will be double occupancy.

I give my consent that the information given at registration may be communicated with Barren Heights Christian Retreat Center, Inc. (Barren Heights) leaders and volunteers for the purpose of being equipped to provide the best care and assistance possible to my family.
I give my consent that photographs, interviews and audio/visual recordings during the course of the event may be used by Barren Heights for training, promotion, and fundraising.
I release Barren Heights, its directors, volunteers, and the Community & Retreat Center from all actions, damages, or personal injuries which may occur to me. I understand that in the event of a minor injury, I may receive first aid treatment. In the event of an emergency, injury, or illness, emergency medical services and I will decide the best course of action. If I am unable to respond to leaders or emergency medical services, I authorize them to take whatever action is necessary for my safety and health.
I understand that in order for everyone to experience a sense of calm, peaceful relaxation, the Retreat Center is an alcohol, drug, and smoke-free environment. Use of cell phones is discouraged except when necessary.
By checking this and the above statements and submitting this registration form, I hereby agree to this hold harmless form and all its contents. I waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss. I understand that this release discharges Barren Heights and the Community & Retreat Center from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against them with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, negligence, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to any services rendered. This liability waiver and release extends to Barren Heights and the Community & Retreat Center together with all owners, partners, volunteers, and employees.
