Prayer is foundational to Barren Heights.
“Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.” —Ephesians 6:18 CSB
Barren Heights is on a mission to create more compassionate communities for families of children with disabilities through the love of Christ, led by the Holy Spirit, in order to further the Kingdom of God. One of the foundational ways that we are enacting this mission is through the power of prayer. It is the privilege of this team to support our community by praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and lifting concerns and requests that we receive through our website, social media, retreats, and events up to the Lord.
Will you consider partnering with our Prayer Team to consistently lift up the Barren Heights community in prayer?
Our Prayer Team:
- commits to praying throughout each weekend during Retreat Season for the families that attend and serve at our retreats.
- commits to quarterly Zoom prayer sessions focusing on the specific needs of our community (approximately one hour).
- prayer walks the Retreat Center during organized prayer walking events (optional for those who have the ability to participate).
Prayer is vital. Prayer is foundational. All the work of Barren Heights starts from a place of prayer and continued guidance from the Lord. We hope that you will join us in the important work of covering our Barren Heights community in prayer by joining our Prayer Team. “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” —1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
