Meet Isabella

Isabella has been volunteering with her family since before she was old enough to walk! She says, “Thank you for Barren Heights, It makes me happy to love the kids who come there! It has taught me how to be nice to kids who are different than me.”

Just like many of our volunteer kids, she has grown up with a heightened awareness for those with disabilities and the skills to know both how to interact and to form special friendships. Barren Heights is just as rewarding and life changing for many of our volunteers as it is for guests!

Isabella doesn’t see a difference, she sees a friend.
