If you’ve been around Barren Heights for any amount of time, you know that our mission is to love and encourage families of children with disabilities. How do we do that? We host weekend respite retreats throughout the summer and early fall, specialty retreats in the winter, and community events throughout the year—all of it 100% free to the families we serve.
That’s a big undertaking, but it is one we feel called and equipped to take on, largely due to the incredible support we receive from our community through prayer, financial contributions, and volunteer hours.
So the big question is, how can YOU help support Barren Heights this fall? Well, we’re glad you asked, because we’ve made a handy dandy list of practical ways to help you do just that. Prayer Team
So much of what we do at Barren Heights begins and ends with prayer. We know there are many in our community who are gifted to intercede on behalf of others, and we have a place for those people! Learn more about our Prayer Team here.
Fall Sweatshirt Fundraiser

Retreat Center Fall Work Days
Our Retreat Center has been used well this summer hosting special needs families during our respite retreats, and it is in need of a little landscaping TLC. So we’re calling all landscaping lovers, weeding warriors, and plant proponents to help during our Retreat Center Fall Work Days in Scottsville, KY—September 1st, 11th, and 15th.
